OMG !!! It does not get any better than that. I wish, Andy could add little solo too, but may be I'm asking too much. In any case, this is my "DREAM BAND". I get shivers going through my spine whenever I hear something like this.
This lady cannot be an earthly being. (BTW Joey will never catch up with her left foot). Prime playing no matter what grumpy naysayers said so far on this thread.

joebandanna-Yes, it's repetitive (those of us in the business call that rhythm). It's also something she can do better than anyone else. Question: Can you do it? I didn't think so. Anyways, happy listening. I hope your comments are your way of acknowledging BD is an artist at what she does.

Barbara believes music is a celebration, not a competition. Joey, Shirley, Rhoda, Tony, Mel and many many more are great players.
Joey is keeping the smoking soul jazz tradition alive, that's great. And if you watch this clip, perhaps you'll agree that Barbara is also a great player with her own unique style and artistic voice.
