  • there's absolutely no way tori would've been allowed to stay at peabody as long as she did without knowing how to read sheet music. trust me. she prefers playing by ear, yes, but OF COURSE she can read music.

she's stated often her scholarship wasn't renewed because she kept improvising & playing zeppelin in the middle of mozart cadenzas, etc. classical conservatories tend to have large sticks up their asses.

  • I love how this song still gets a huge reaction today. One of her best.

  • Steve Caton on guitar, Matt Chamberlain on drums, and Jon Evans on bass (5 string). Excellent line up.

  • @heinzie5 Matt Chamberlain.

  • sounds like tori amos meets porcupine tree xD anyone know the name of the drummer by the way?

  • SHE ROCKS, like no woman ever did! And Precious Things is also metal of course ;)

  • 2 people are.....hell, 2 people have their opinions, but I COMPLETELY disagree.

  • I so fuckin wish i were there! what a vibe (Btw, does anyone know which year this was?)

  • awesome band

  • @PreciousEarthquakes2 It was truly spectacular!

  • so glad someone else thinks she is metal on piano. I love Tori and am a huge metalhead :D

  • @PreciousEarthquakes2 - Back in the 70's there was this kind of therapy called "Primal Scream" that was really popular with celebrities and rich people. Anyway, a small part of the therapy involved getting to a place, emotionally, where you let out a very distinctive sort of scream, or a yelp like a small animal in pain... I think Tori sort of isolated this concept as a tool in music... and maybe without even knowing it. There is a band called "Primal Scream" but I've never heard them.
