Lance Corporal Kyle A. Sporleder, age 20, of Sylvania passed away tragically Sunday, December 21st, 2008.

Kyle was a 2006 graduate of Sylvania Northview High School. Upon graduating, he entered the U.S. Marine Corps where he graduated as Private First Class from Parris Island. He was based at Selfridge, MI with the Marine Wing support Group 47. Kyle was also a proud and ambitious independent business owner with Amway Global.

A fun-loving young man, Kyle left an imprint on those who knew him and he will be greatly missed by all of us.

Kyle was preceded in death by his grandmother, Linda Sporleder and cousin, Stephanie Miller.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents: Andy (Kelly) Sporleder; brother: Keith; sister: Kelsey; grandparents: Don (Sharon) Grodi, John Sporleder, and Art (Janet) Dufenthaler; great grandmother: Corky Vineyard; and many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The Sporleder family wishes to express their appreciation to Mike OShea and the Young Life Organization for leading Kyle to his faith in God. Also, sincere gratitude to the USMC for all of their assistance in transforming Kyle from a young boy into a strong man. Lastly, thank you to the many friends who offered their presence in our home during our time of grief.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, on Friday, December 26th, 2008 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM with Military Honors followed by a luncheon at the Sylvania Moose Lodge.

The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, that donations in Kyles memory be made to the American Red Cross PO Box 4002018 Des Moines, IA 50340-2018 or a charity of the donors choice.

Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.reebfuneralhome.com.
