This is the story of Izuru,a wild mountain Gorilla who lost her baby & carried the body for days.Ignorence or grief? I guess we'll never know but one thing is surtain. This emotional behavior proves once again that these magnificent animals are our closest relatives & its our obligation to protect them. This rare event was captured recently by Gil Arbel on HD for the vanishing world project. It was a difficult thing to watch.I hope this will help protect the last wild mountain Gorillas. Most certainly grief...my youngest child died with my husband in an accident when he was 7yrs old. I went to the funeral home every night to hold him in my arms until his funeral...it was just something my heart told me to instinctivley do....
Yeah sure, she's just resting there. With her dead baby on her head. Animals do stuff like that all the time! Why do some humans seem afraid to admit their animal heritage?
