This is not a full review like everybody makes. This is only a pure noise comparison video for the Logitech G25 and G27. I made this video because I couldn't find a useful (gear) noise comparison video on the whole internet.

The G27 has straight gears which makes a lot of noise, while the G27 is very quiet with its helical gears! What a huge difference! The G27 appears to be a lot smoother too. And even the gearbox of the G27 feels way better, more solid and robust, ant it's quieter too.

  • HUH if mine is off heh wont ressist ( G25 ) cheater the g27 is off and the g25 on.

  • @Blackhawk946 Nope both not connected to anything, no USB, no power. Not even to the stick and pedals. This is 100% true comparison. Why should I fake about it?

  • @knightwolf200612 ok sorry dan but wy does the g25 resist if hes off???

  • @Blackhawk946 That's because of the straight gears I guess. I've opened the G25 to clean it inside and put new grease on it in the hope it would be much quieter. But it didn't help reduce the noise. That's why I bought the G27.

  • I prefer the G25 because it has sequential gear shifting aswell as H pattern... why did Logitech even remove the sequential gear shift on the G27? it seems so brain dead lol...

  • @Eclipezz Removing the sequential was neccessary to improve the quality of the H-shifter. And you don't really need the sequential because you already shift sequential with the flippers on the wheel. The G27 H-shifter feels much more profi in comparison to the kids toy G25 H-shifter. So Logitech has done the job quite well.

  • Is it possible to open the G25 wheel and cut the straight cut gears more round, to reduce the noise?

  • Good video! But f$#k your g25 wheel is broken or just too old. Mine works quietly!!

  • @Eclipezz to make it better, besides, the g27 shifter has a ruberized grip, while the g25 is hard plastic.

  • it's just killed g25

    nothing more

  • @thepricylon No not necessarily. The G27 is a lot less noisy and the H shifter should be a lot better and it has more buttons on the steering wheel.

Of cause if you like the manual sequential mode then the G25 will be better for you, but I only use the H shifter mode on the gear lever. If I want sequential I just use the paddles on the wheel instead. (And currently I own a now broken G25, with a G27 on its way)

So it depends on what you want from you wheel.

  • @dude2106 that means that G25 Is better than G27 because of more option.

  • @thepricylon No you can't. They removed that feature to improve the H shifter instead.

So if you want the sequential (forward - down, backwards - up) option you need to buy a G25.

  • 1:45 Kit!!!! Come here i need your aid! lol

  • I want the g27 so bad for gt5 looks like the nicest wheel with a clutch and 6 speed with everything

  • @Blackhawk946 it is the construction of the gears inside... i had the same "problem". The g25 really has a small resist inside the construction ;)

no fake video - just the truth^^
