YouTube Download MP4 button

You can now download videos that you upload onto YouTube. Check out your My Videos section and click on Download MP4 for any of your uploaded videos.

You cannot download other content producer's videos, unless they themselves enable downloads of their own videos.

Here's an example of the URL to download your own videos: http://www.youtube.com/download_my_video?v=Be9Sl9BTIqs

Make sure to replace the video identification number with your own video's address!

If you're receiving an MP4 error here's YouTube's response:
"The button disappearing isn't a bug, its actually how the feature works...

You can download (to MP4) your own videos that you uploaded to YouTube. This download option is only available for your video uploads, not for other users' videos.

To download your own videos to MP4:

1. Sign into your account.
2. Click on the "Account" link in the top right hand corner of your screen.
3. Under My Videos click "Uploaded Videos".
4. Find the video you'd like to download and click the "Download to MP4" button.

PLEASE NOTE:

-- There is a limit of TWO downloads per hour for downloading your video to MP4. The "Download to MP4" button will not appear next to your videos if you've already downloaded two videos in an hour.
Once an hour has passed, the button will appear again and you'll have the option to download additional videos.

-- If your video has already been removed from the site, or if you've used audioswap, the video will not be available for download."

@walkingdan It's free for you to download your own video, but others cannot anymore. YouTube replaced the download program with rentals.

New method of downloading your own video....

1. Click your name at the top right corner.

2. It should say MY ACCOUNT and click Videos (2nd Option)

3. It will direct you to a page with all your videos.

4. Under the video you want to download, there should be buttons In order Edit ,Insight ,and an arrow.

5. Click the arrow button and a drop down box should pop up. At the bottom, Download MP4 should be there. Click it!

Note, the video HAS TO BE PUBLIC. Like so others can see!

You can only download 2 per hour, is much faster to get an addon for your explorer so you can download ANY VIDEOS as much as you want. :)
