When GWB took office, the National Debt was about $5.7 Trillion.

When Obama took office, it was about $10 Trillion.

So about 4.3 Trillion increase in 8 years, or an average of a little more than $500 Billion per year.

National Debt is now nearly $16 Trillion. In 3.5 years, it has gone up about $6 Trillion, which is an average of about $1,700 Billion per year.

Back to 2nd grade for you, Troy.

I'm just glad you can't vote. In 30 years, you'll be a conservative. Remember I told you that. Have a nice day and you're always welcome to come over to the side of hard work, individualism, and freedom.

The economy is slowly but steadily improving. Why risk Romney when absolutely no one can be sure what he actually stands for. You may be stuck with him for 8 years, whereas you can find a better candidate in just 4 if he proves to be something other than he is now saying he is.

That's what you're getting, then. Considering that the budgets Bush signed still saw GDP growth well above what we're getting now. Hope you and the other sheep are happy, dimwit.

You mean the surplus that was actually the product of fiscal policy instituted by the Republican-controlled House? Oh, how about the "reforms" in the housing market and carte blanche started under and with the endorsement of Clinton (while his Party held down Congress, no less) for Freddie and Fannie, which gradually ballooned into the 2008 downturn? "Believe" is right, because you clearly know nothing of policy history beyond the rhetoric put out by the media.

@lilballr123 my district is conservative, under representative Buck McKeon. I know California's Democratic, but my district is not. That is what i meant.

believe bush came in with a surplus, blew thru that pretty quick, put two wars off the books, and passed prescrip bill not paid for, reagan spent quite a bit himself and realized he needed to RAISE TAXES 11 times, pretty reasonable man

They also forget that the congress AND senate were democratically controlled under Bush. Lucky that he was able to hold the spending to only $500 billion per year under those conditions.
