In May 2011 I decide to illegally grow a vegetable garden on a neglected patch of land in Brooklyn. I encountered a thief, a dirty old man, and GOD in this follow up video.

You mean the skill to harvest your own food source without the need of money to buy it? Hmm, I guess all the farmers who make your food are faggots. Oh and don't forget just about everyone in the past centuries of mankind's existence which without the skill many of us would not have existed since food is a major necessity behind oxygen and water. Yeah, that really seems gay to me...

What you are doing is positively revolutionary: “Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.” - John Wesley What an inspiring act of personal empowerment and individual initiative! Thank you for showing the members of that community (and globally here) how bonds of brotherhood are created in a simple garden. Sounds like the battle cry of a Vigilante Gardener

The shakers used to plant one third for the wildlife, one third for the people who'd come around and steal it, (They didn't have supermarkets in those days.) and one third for themselves. You don't have enough other gardens around to attract the usual rabbit, ground hog, deer and bug problems.
