The lyrics to the song "jambi" by Tool. When i uploaded it, the timing of some parts got kinda funky. Enjoy...
Tools songs are all up for YOUR OWN interpretation but here is my take: Please, take tool's music and use it as your own personal tool to a greater understanding. A better angle of perception on life.

Ok, so first, "jambi" is an Indonesian Province in Sumatra, which was once part of a powerful kingdom with a rich sultan who lived an opulent lifestyle. The title of the song obviously reinforces the general idea that even all the riches acquired by this lifestyle are far less important, than that of family friends ect. The songs "jambi" and "wings for marie/10,000 days" take place cronologically. Jambi is taking place while Maynards mom is dying and wings for marie and 10,000 days occur during his funeral. during the song, maynard "prays like a martyr dusk till dawn, begs like a hooker all night long" he is praying for the well being of his mother. Just look throughout the song and see what i am saying. When he says "the devil and his had me down" i suppose he is talking of some bad point in his life where he might have been in a bad spot or whatever it might have been. I'm not Maynard so I have no place to say what he is speaking of right here. Maynard goes on to say "but you changed that all for me" perhaps his mother helped him out of the state he was in with her prayers and guidance or whatever. Again, I do not know the situation so I have no place to say what Maynard is speaking of. I can only make inferences. At the end where he says "silence Legion, save your poison etc..." this is a reference to a story in the New Testament. Legion was a demon whom Jesus actually spoke to. A man was possessed by Legion and Jesus asks him his name. the demon states "My name is Legion and we are many" which is saying that Legion is made up of many demons, or that there are many demons around. Maynard tells Legion to remain silent and to save his Poison(temptations) because he will not fall victim to them.

Pretty sure Danny is the driving spiritual influence of Tool. Maynard is kind of a typical egotistical ass in real life, not sure how he can sing about this stuff and act like such a tool IRL. I'll always love tool, though
