NBA mascot hits halfcourt shot off another mascot

Before the celebrity game during 2009 NBA All Star Week, Rufus, the Charlotte Bobcats' mascot, tossed a basketball backwards, over his head, and off the groin of Bango, the Milwaukee Bucks' mascot. The ball went through the hoop, as did Bango. No mascots were harmed in the making of this film (we hope).

UPDATE: Bango did suffer a knee injury, but will recover and continue to entertain fans before and after surgery:

I remember reading about this a while back, apparently the guy tore his groin muscle or something like that when he fell through. Poor bastard. But every time I watch this (or even think about it) I laugh so hard just thinking about the faces he's making under that costume after he falls though and how amazed the fans are at his athletic abilities (which they have no idea are actually very painful). He even hangs on the rim for a bit!!!! Hilarious! But sucks to be him.

I don't know what I'm more shocked about, the fact that the mascot hit the other mascot's jewels and getting the halfcourt shot in at the same time or the other mascot performing a split while going through the hoop. >.<
