@KennyMataz Hi Ken; thank you for the kind words; with regard to your legacy footage, research the reviews and select a quality analog to digital converter that is in your budget. I purchased a high-end Canopus, but it's an overkill. Seek out Elgato, read your reviews, make sure your system is up to spec to work with the device. I also suggest digitizing to a dedicated, external hard drive set as a mirrored RAID array (Guardian Maximum from Other World Computing) so the converted data is safe.

i wish we'd celebrate thanksgiving in germany. Back then, before my parents were divorced (dad is american) we still had a turkey and had a nice dinner. We don't do that anymore since my mom got married with a new germany guy. Also we don't have black fridays... We have the same sky-high prices all year long *yay*
