New Electric Fuel Injection System for Honda Econo-power contest has been developed by our laboratory.

Today we tested the system again.
The pump pressure and the injector valve open period was tuned by Takahiro Kakihara of our member.
The tuning was very well in success of experiment.

The revolution was stable around 2400 rpm although a little haunting of the rev was seen in video.

  • In practical use of engine.

BTW, how did you manage to filter the noise in the signal?

I have the similar problem. The revs keep going up and down.

  • I think that the major purpose to employ FI system is not to decrease fuel consumption in practical use. Do you have any idea?

  • BTW, in this video, our old generation controlle was employed. Now we employ Runesas SH MPU which is the most reliable MPU in the automobile industry as ECU controller.

  • In practical use of engine? or contest use?

My opinion is different in operationg conditions.

  • hmm..at how many degrees of crank angle does the injector starts to inject the fuel?

  • hello mr yanagihara.

as we all know that fuel injection can reduce the fuel consumption when it is compared to a carburetor. just a little question (i want to put this in my literature review). How many percentage (%) the EFI system can reduce fuel consumption?

  • @Luqman60100 By the way, I didn't think huge earth quake and tunami like that of Banda Aceh hit our coutry until then.

Fortunately our laboratory is located in Omuta city of Fukuoka prefecture that is south part of Japan, 1000km away from the dameged area, even though the broken Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant. On the surface, we can keep our same daily life before and after Mar 11. We Japanese, however, begin to think about safety and clean source of energy more honestly than ever.

  • @Luqman60100 We use Mos FET IC as the driver.

  • @yanagiharalab What did you use for the injector driver?

By the way, how is Japan doing right now? How's life in japan after the previous earthquake?

  • @Luqman60100

I'm Yanagihara, the responsible of this laboratory.

We've already presented and published our studies.

Of course, it's my pleasure to send you those publications.

But unfortunately the publicatoins are written in Japanese.

    Sorry for that. :-)
