@wayneogden BTW the decorated tree comes from dressing up Joshua Trees in clothing, as we dress up snowmen. Byzantine early Christians had converted from Pagan beliefs, including that Joshua Trees have souls and giving names to individual Joshua trees. Dressing them in clothes was like how we dress up our pets on christmas. If a pagan had cut down a Joshua Tree and hung it upside down as the fake rumor says Christians copied, the other pagans would have executed that pagan for murder. , .

Actually... Halloween, or all hallow's eve was a pagan holiday with most of the modern traditions stemming from the Druid cultures. It was their most high holy day .... A day when the line between our world and the spirit world was at its thinnest. It is even today, witch's most holy day...Samhain. Drew Carey ROCKS! He is exactly right!
