My Funny Valentine Part 1 (Regarding Foreclosures)

National Homeowner Advocate trying to stop national homeowner association foreclosures. She and her family lost their Texas homestead in 1995 because of nonpayment of maintenance fees. She and her husband started the homeowner activist movement in 1990 and were the first homeowner advocates to testify before an Austin, Texas legislative body in 1993. Her group,The National Homeowners Advocate Group, is trying to permanently stop foreclosures and reform HOA's as HOA's are not regulated. Her Texas Homeowner's Advocate Group is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and she is looking for funding to help homeowners pay their maintenance fees and hire attorneys when their homestead is in foreclosure jeopardy. Also, she wants homeowner associations to be voluntary, if existing at all, and not mandatory groups. Home buyers have the right to make that decision at closing. Thank you for your comment. Sorry just got to it. Just saw it. Didn't realize I would get a comment. ROFL. Now, if you live in Texas, I need you to call your representative and ask him or her to vote FOR SB 142. This is the best bill we are going to get this session and ever and will be our first. So please call ASAP before this Thursday, May 19th when they will probably vote on this bill. Thank you for your help and spread the word.

I am a bit rusty with the piano and the singing so you can see how desperate I am to leave a truth legacy about this awful, awful homeowner association horrific foreclosure mess. Thanks for this information. I have yet to buy a home, but would like to some day. this is very good information to know. I had no idea. I thought foreclosure was only done when the morgage hasn't been paid not when the gardners haven't.
