This is a test circuit to experiment with elevated tracks & bridges. It uses 120 tracks, 1 switch, 1 crossing, #7710 (electrified) & #7740 trains and #7822 (modified) & #148 stations!

It also contains a track element of my own creation, the symmetrical diagonal loop.

Check out http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/129206 for additional details.
Check out http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/123434 for the building instructions of the bridge.

  • Hi mate, I am just getting back into my Lego 12V trains after a long time; this looks fantastic! A couple of questions if you have the time - do you know how long you can have the tracks with the one transformer? And I can see how you've done the bridge, but what have you used for the supports to raise the tracks?? many thanks in advance

  • @bigbenlorax

You can have a pretty long track. If the conductors rails and the engine power pickups are clean, you can get decent speed on a track of many meters.

About the track supports, you can do a search for "Train Elevation Pillars" on google, you'll end up on my MOCpages page where you can download building instructions in LDraw format.

  • As long as you use an inner 12V power track, I guess so...

no, the 12v electric rails do not fit 9v or rc track due to the extra sleepers. You can run 12v motors on power functions and 9v or pf track, simply tape the 12v power pick up pins to the motor ( won t damage them and will keep them from getting stuck on points) and convert one PF cable to plug into the 12v motor. Then use the if reciever and battery as normal, it will run slower but on battery power. if you want to run 12v through the transformer, it wont work. PF will work on 12v
