On June 2, 2009 I gave the local forecast for the show, which include a look at the tropics. The forecast had been hot with scattered storms. My segment begins with a look at temperatures and conditions around the region then looking at the tropics and bringing it back home for the forecast. In my tropical forecast I engage viewers with a look at June climatology before taking them out to see the big picture. You will see I am quite at home with a tropical forecast. On the Atlantic satellite I take the time to give viewers their bearings with where features are in reference to us in Florida. I then take a look at the climatologically favorable but currently quiet locations and transition that into my local forecast. Note also how I have no trouble maintaining my composure as my graphics begin to do the unexpected.
