@shimokita2 Mick didn't wanted another soul mate for Keith sometimes according to richards, he thought that everytime keith was too close to someone who was musically gifted and shared ideas out of the stones circle and mick acted like a real bitch. it happened to parsons too sometimes, for mick it was like a brother kinda thing, music partners...jealousy perhaps

@shimokita2 It was during the European tour of 1973, in Belgium....Keith found Bobby in the bathtub and tried to make him move but Bobby's replay was "Fuck off!!" Mick kicked him out for ten years...

@Viandanterosso - Thanks. I missed that in the book. If I remember, it took about 10 years for Keith to slide Bobby back into the line up - was it the Steel Wheel 1989 Tour?

@shimokita2 Bobby was banned for having missed reharsals during a tour...He was found in a tub full of champagne with a chick completely gone...Jagger kicked him out of the band despite Keith, but Keith and Bobby remained very good friend...All this is in Keith's book....

Keith Richards says in his new book that Bobby Keys wasn't welcome around the stones for many years and had to be kind of secretly added back to the band. But Richards never said why. Anyone know what it was that got Bobby banned from the band for all those years?

met the man at Keef's daughters wedding, he was hanging about looking a bit lost and I just had to go up and shake his hand and tell him how I got into his music way back to Cocker Power.
