i hate the automatic too. my dads got a 997 carrera 4s in manual and he thinks its sacreligious to own a tiptronic porsche.

@sirtristan01 i see what you mean, rwd is a more traditional porsche. yes pdk c4s with a techart upgrade would be pretty sweet, seeing as a stock carrera s with pdk gives a 996 turbo a run for its money.

what I mean is, purist, core Porsches are RWD manuals. I'm not saying AWDs are not Porsches, just the former are more traditional.
personally I'd love a 4S with PDK and a TechArt upgrade to 420HP which would beat 996 turbos :)

@sirtristan01 what do you mean by impure? the 911 turbo is awd and i wouldn't say that car is "impure." pdk is a great transmission, i dont like the tiptronic because it shifts so slow. more of a drivers experience with the manual.

i actually wouldnt mind one. you can still shift it sequentially, i dunno what issue people have with automatics.
i dont mind 'impure' 4wd porsches.
