Attorneys for Death Row Prisoner Troy Davis to Make Final Plea Before Georgia Parole Board

Attorneys for death row prisoner Troy Davis are heading to the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles today to ask the state body to commute his death sentence. Davis is scheduled to be executed on Sept. 23. Last year, the board granted Davis a temporary reprieve less than twenty-four hours before his scheduled execution, after numerous questions were raised about his case. We speak with his sister, Martina Correia. [includes rush transcript]

Our justice system isnt going to allow a cop to be killed & not convict someone for it...thats y they didnt need proof or show beyond a reasonable doubt to get the conviction and sentence...all people seen n knew n heard was the name Troy Davis killed a cop..If it had been Troy Davis killed the night stockman at WalMart believe he would be at home right now watching the news or playing twister..sad but true

I got alot of love & respect for every African American friends,family and associates & statistics clearly prove that blacks DO hold the highest number for crimes commited & prison population.Me saying this isnt me bn racsist or pejudice...its me saying whats a matter of fact.Troy Davis didnt get what he got from being black,he got it for killing a cop.I honestly feel that they cant allow cops to b killed w/o convicting some 1 for it..it was a political conviction..sad but true...just my opinion
