This is a video I made to demonstrate the rich and more classic sounds the v-synth can produce. The programs are original. All sounds coming from a Roland V-Synth 2.0 VA-Engine

  • @ZKB9

Thanks for the comment. I think a lot of these synths digital or not are great. The presets are typically market oriented and if you can get past them there is a lot of potential.

  • Are we really saying that the V-Synth has the same warmth and depth as a Jupiter, JX or Juno? If so i'd buy one tomorrow but I doubt it comes close in reality. This sounds nothing like either of the above to my ears, more like a JP8000, good but no analogue.

  • That the V-Synth has the same warmth and depth as a Jupiter is not even implicit in the title or description. The purpose of this video is to show that the V-Synth can produce classic sounds and is not limited to the production of radical sounds seen in other demonstrations. The oscillators and filter models are very impressive, they are worlds better than a JP-8000. Criticizing a VA for not sounding analog is a futile endeavor.

  • BEUATIFUL WORK!

  • Thank You!

  • *speechless* sounds so analog, indeed a very impressive synth engine.

  • Thanks! I was craving analog sounds, started programming and was surprised by how willing the V-synth was to produce them.

  • FINALLY, a good demonstration of the v-synth. roland should have hired you instead of the cheesemasters they have now.

  • @Barelinio Speaking as another V-Synth and Juno owner I agree entirely.

  • Very nice demo, great synth sounds !

  • @Barelinio Yes, unfortunately I have to pay for it ;-)

  • @CelticProgeny Have you returned to work in the meantime? :)

  • Any demonstrations on how to create new sound fonts?

  • You know, up until now I diddnt even know what the V-Synth was. I always assumed it was just a rebranded Fantom, which seems to be Rolands thing now, but now I realize its much more than that. Thanks for the awesome demo!

  • @maccagrabme

I actually have the pleasure to have a Juno AND a V-Synth and I must say that the V-synth really, really sounds very very warm if you want it to. Jupitish :)

This is a youtube video that is bit reduced, and you can't hear half of the spectrum.

Yes, the v-synth aliases in high registers like all virtual analogues, but if you don't play dog whistle tunes, it sounds very analog. And then there's the sampling which gives it a total different direction. A great, great sounding classic!

  • Quality work.

I've ordered GT version 2 and It arrives on Wednesday.

I've booked 2 days off work. Wednesday to receive it and Thursday to get lost in it.

I'll deal with Friday when it comes :)
