  • why does it say that you played this in E standard 'not B standard'?

machinae supremacy doesn't use B tuning, do they?

  • im pretty sure this song is in a lower (B) tuning, along with a lot of their other stuff. u can tell they played this in B standard by the chorus, the C and D power chords are an octave lower in the actual song

  • amazing ! If i ever start a band ur in, without a doubt ! Tried playin hero or elite ? ! If not, u should x

  • Thanks for the nice words man. I can play Hero fairly well, the double track guitar solo is a bit tricky though =p, not to much luck with Elite though I'm afraid : (

  • Omg! Really nice!!

  • thanks very much

  • @JaketheSnakeESP Indeed! I like them used in the way machinae does ( not like Metallica does in " One " ) or some Bolt Thrower songs have.

If you listen closely, maybe to Hybrid - you'll hear tons of those scattered throughout the whole song - makes my tabbing even less accurate. ( I'm more or less done tabbing Hybrid anyway )

  • @paddymoep oh yeahh, inverted power chords with the added octave. They somewhat sound like 7th string root power chords

  • @JaketheSnakeESP The Wired is played in B. Some other songs are, too - but mostly everything is played in standard E ( Bouff, Hybrid.. ), even if it sounds really low. That may come from these " grind " chords ( i don't know what they are called , but they are mostly used as an outro, for example "I turn to you" )

    played like this

    ---7--

    ---5--

    ---5--

  • @paddymoep Many songs have been in E standard though, but that makes sense

  • @JaketheSnakeESP Of course they play B tuning. Some chords are insanely low and couldn't possibly be played with an E tuning.

They sayed so in an Machinae FAQ, i think i can believe them.

  • oh, I see.

I guess I need to expand my MaSu library from just Redeemer, lol

  • keep practising u'll pull it off ! ! x :)
