Nice shots. The f1.4 really does the trick. I just did a clip on 5D Mark II filmmaking all about the 50mm f1.4. Cheers.

@snafuz13
thank's buddy for your comment, I own macro ef 100mm f 2.8 L lens and efs 60mm macro lens, both doing a good job for close up, in this video just about what we can do with ef 50mm f1.4...

doesnt look like you're putting that 1.4 to work. my 85f1.8 creates a lot more out of focus objects and bokeh

@homiej212 you're right buddy, but 1.4 doesn't mean you have to wide open at all your pictures, with this lens I mostly use F2.0, 2.8, 3.5 for a nice bokeh.
My 85mm F1.8 is creating a good bokeh too, I use it sometimes, that focal length best for potrait. thank's for the comment.

Should I get this instead of a Flashgun (580EX II)?
I'm planning to get the 24-70mm f/2.8L USM but the huge aperture of this tempts me to add it to my small arsenal :D

It's depends if you use your camera like casual users, you don't need 580ex II, 430ex II is good enough. The 50mm 1.4 is the best lens you can't beat..
