here's a test of the zi8 recording my good old Washburn D10s using the internal mic compare to Sony ECM-DSP70P(external)

The Sony sounds a bit muffled and there's this high freq noise from it. Stereo imagining is hardly there. I am suspecting it's a fake judging from the comparison video in youtube.
What you guys think?


The internal mic is very much usable to me. :)

  • The static noise that appear after you plug in the external mic is kinda annoying. I have the same problem when I record with my stereo-microphone :/

    You sorta get a high-pitch noise :S

    Any idea of how you get rid of that noise?

    Answer would really help :)

    sorry for the late reply.

    The only way I can think of to remove the noise is with some sort of post processing. EQ it out or something. I cant experiment with the settings anymore cos my camera was stolen :(
