TheraminTrees and QualiaSoup, i've watched this video before and maybe even commented, but i had to watch this again and express that this video is so damn good.

The music, the visuals and most importantly the serious debunking of the 'Pascals Wager' argument is just amazing, guys!

This video is really emotionally powerful and logically sound.

Thank you for making such great calibre videos for people like me to see!

Thank you. There seemed to be a recrudescence of Pascal's Wager citations at the time, and there comes a point where putting out a video makes more sense than answering the same argument time after time. It also seemed a great opportunity to get back to the original text from which it came — the fragmentary 'Pensees'. Working with Qualia is always a treat, and this project was tremendous fun.

Spectacular! Would you be willing to do a voice over? I want to put this as an mp3 on my ipod to listen to on trips and such

What a strange serendipity. Recording a vocal version of this script is on my to do list for this month. Once up, it will appear as a link in the video description — probably in the next couple of weeks.

'God Out The Gaps' implies that we purposely haven't considered God as an explanation, right?

Well then, that argument is simply untrue.

Outspoken Atheists have considered the idea of there being a God, hence why they are consciously Atheist.

Until further evidence is provided, we have come to the decision that there is no reason to believe in a God, let alone a specific God of contradictions.

"There's been numerous cases where inferior races of animals triumphed over the genetically/physically superior creature (ex. dolphins vs. sharks, wasps vs. spiders 10x their size)"

If the Dolphins triumphed over sharks in terms of population, there was something(s) which caused it to triumph over sharks, naturally or artificially.

In other words, they were better suited for the current environment. Survival Of The Fittest!

You're trying to put an assertion on which one YOU think was better.

I don't use the "god of the gaps" argument at all; you brought it up. I also called it "inane", not "insane". In any case, farewell.

Same for the insane "God out of the gapes" platitude. Good luck on your life journey

If you find that kind of logic insulting to your intelligence, maybe you shouldn't use it to justify your worldview.

If all you have left is this inane "God of the gaps" platitude, then I agree that there's no point in continuing.

"If you're insistent on keeping God in the gaps, you have to be fair and equal. 'm putting the Magic Popcorn Man in the gaps with God", now you're just insulting my intelligence. But you're also insistent on keeping God out of the gaps, which is even more irrational.

But this isn't getting anywhere; let's just agree to disagree, ya?
