  • He looks so young! I remember seeing him playing Dick Deadeye in the show HMS Pinafore in Dunedin in 2003...he was very good too!

  • @dee74raz The pronunciation was soooo much better back then.

  • Far superior to the idiots they have doing news now.

  • @dee74raz I believe Dougal's a kiwi? It was the accent they used for the news back then

  • Were all NZ news presenters all from England ? Can't detect a kiwi accent

  • No worries, mate. All good! *grins*

  • @Kiwifrank My biggest apologies Kiwifrank, I meant to hit the Thumbs Up and accidtently hit the Thumbs Down and I can't change it. I thought exactly the samething about the cut a away before reading your comment.

  • The 'cut-a-way' to Nadu Ballentine-Scott was remarkably modern for it's time. I can't recall many such instances occurring back then.

  • The Maui 1 oil find was dated 1969. Hon Tom Shand, Minister of Mines, died (while still in office, although after the election campaign of that year had begun) on 11 Dec 1969, so it was prior to that date.

  • Ah, its the guy off the Primo adverts!!!

Actually, Mr Stevenson is still hosting today, although on a local broadcast Dunedin channel...
