Lock #3 Welland Canal St. Catherines ON, Canada. Lock fills through valves below, causing turbulence. The seagulls gather, waiting for the turbulence to stun small fish, which float to the surface for easy foraging. After lock is filled, far gate opens, boat exits, then gate closes (both gates now closed). Then, valves drain lock outside of near gate. Near gate opens after lock drained. Far gate remains closed. Process can then start over again.
