I thought it was a trick, that you cut a notch out of the machete that your boot edge fit into and it didn't damage your boot at all. May I ask how you happened to hit your foot with it?

@Dasdfjkl I was limbing a small tree and the machete glanced of the branch and into the boot, since then I'm very wary of were I stand when using the machete.
