Wow. He's probably more intelligent, insightful and logical to boot than 99% of his fans -- especially the 'proud to be redneck' crowd. It's nice to see someone like Garth break the stereotype a bit; not everyone who speaks with a southern accent is an anti-intellectual hillbilly or a hardcore conservative.

Tell me if you think any of these Democrats are "country": Merle Haggard Kris Kristofferson Willie Nelson Johnny Cash Steve Earle Tim McGraw Faith Hill Toby Keith And Brad Paisley, while not a Democrat, supported Obama in the last election. Guess your list of allowable artists just grew a fair bit shorter.
