The French army on Friday (October 8) released footage of intense fighting in the Tagab Valley in Afghanistan, where coalition and Afghan forces are battling militants.
The army did not provide many details, but said the footage was shot from October 1 and that the action was part of Operation Promising Star.
On Thursday (October 7), a German soldier was killed and six were wounded in a suicide bomb attack in northern Baghlan province, the German Defence Ministry said. Two of the wounded were in a serious condition.
Forty-nine French soldiers have been killed in violence or accidents in Afghanistan since the 2001 U.S.-led invasion, from a total of 2,133 foreign soldiers killed.

@JihadTaliban comme toute résistance ils connaissent leur pays et savent créer la surprise prenez les FFI contre les Allemands durant la seconde guerre mondiale et vous obtenez une résistance 2 fois plus acharnée contre l'ennemi avec en moyenne basse plus de 1 attentas ou accrochage contre l'ennemi toute les 6 heures à partir de 1942 puis un toute les heures en 1943 si ma mémoire est bonne et ce avec des alliés qui refusent globalement d'aider la résistance française. Faites le compte.
