Does this PC Engine GT screen look okay? I'm afraid that there is some ghosting going on - is this normal? Does it require some type of repair?

  • Don't worry about it. This type of image persistence is temporary and typical for LCD screens. I had the turbo express when it first came out and it had the same issue. Google "LCD image persistence."

  • @realMDSTX - thanks! I've noticed similar issues on the game gear and Nomad - this makes me feel better :)

  • also anybody have trouble with loose connection on the official ac adadtor? any solutions?

  • Mine does exactly the same on SF2 and splatterhouse. Particularly on energy bars and high scores on the black screens. Mine was fully restored with new video and sound capacitors and it still happens so who knows? maybe it's just the age of the lcd late 80's ?

  • looks more like LCD persistance than anything serious. Plus, LCD technology was not as good 20 years ago as it is now
