  • It seems just like yesterday when u were being interviewed by Bill Cosby and were remeeting the smiling faces of the children who grew up into adults that look up to u. One year ago, age got the better of u and u passed. Even though a year before that u were in good health. It’s funny how things can go so wrong so quickly. I hope youre happy and loved just as much as u loved and cared for every person u met. Rest in peace Gordon Arthur Kelly Linkletter and kids will always say the darndest things

  • Mr. Linkletter is now 96 years old, & still kicking!! He looks healthy enough to me that I'm anticipating that he'll join in the ranks of George Burns & Bob Hope....& reach that 100th birthday in 2012.

  • Art Linkletter and Danny Kaye. - two of the greatest men of the 20th Century. - I'd rank them near THE VERY TOP of the list. What a bright, bright, articulate man Art was.

rest in peace, dear man. rest in peace.

  • Like 35,000 other children during his career, I had the privilege of being on one of Art Linkletter's shows (Life With Linkletter) when I was 6. His warmth and kindness made an indelible, life-long impression on me. I will really miss him!

To find the clip of the segment I was on with Art, search YouTube on my name and his name together, like this: "Art Linkletter Larry Short" ... it's the first listing that comes up.

  • The best place to watch this 1997, at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Their website has hundreds of video interviews with TV legends.

  • The three-hour interview was conducted in Bel Air, California by Sam Denoff on September 15, 1997.

  • Art Linkletter was one of the giants in broadcasting. Even at 97, he passed away too early. He was a class act all the way.
