After a couple of free-form warmups (D harp, 2nd position), Gussow plays "Thunky Fing," a funky third position blues off of Satan and Adam's MOTHER MOJO album, then slows and dissects it for the lessons it contains.

If you'd like to purchase a copy of my new solo album, KICK AND STOMP (2010), please hit the following link. Only $10 for 14 tracks of harp-powered one-man band music, all for instant download. Liner notes included!:

  • Hi Adam, I see that before the major sixth, and after the 4 tongue blocked, you do something that you've explained in other videos to keep the rythm, but I can figure out what notes you are playing. Any tips?

    Thanks!

  • I can't remember what I do in this video! It's probably some little passing chord made by releasing my embouchure a little and letting some air in.

  • check me out lamont harris thanks.

  • Nice stuff! Thanks for letting me know. You're on my screen now, as they say. Check you out next time I'm in Chicago....

  • How can I get a copy of all the lessons you have on here? I'd like to be able to watch them and practice them without logging on every time.

  • I sell a DVD with the first 34 lessons from my website, Modern Blues Harmonica. See "YouTube products." Also bundles of mp3 rips from the videos--all of the first 100.
