This tutorial will show you how to make your very own customize DESKTOP ICON!

STEPS
1. Open paint
2. Set attributes to 64x64
3. Zoom on it
4. Draw something or copy & paste some pictures you want to be the icon.
5. Save it as (name of your icon) .ico and for the "Save as type:" choose this "24-bit Bitmap (*.bmp;*,dib)"

Your done! yey

Now to use the Icon you just made.

STEPS
1. Choose any application or folder you want to change its icon.
2. Right click it go to properties.(at the bottom.)
3. Click change icon..and locate the one you just made. And if it is a folder you want to change, you can find the "change icon" on the customize tab.

And if it doesnt work, you maybe did something wrong or my tutorial just not that good!

PS: Your icon may not be that good of a QUALITY try using another program instead of paint.

  • I started to download some BS to do it for me, then I was like wait a minute... it can't be that bad... and the weird program was making me uneasy. Thank you for saving time and now I know. ^^ At first though I thought it didn't work cause when searching for .ico folders they don't come up however after dragging down the little bar when browsing and setting it to view all files it showed the file and worked upon selecting it. You might wanna add that. When browsing, view all file types. :3
