Dietrich Buxtehude Chaconne in E minor played by Chris Paraskevopoulos at his residence organ Johannus Rembradnt 3090.

  • It is obvious that you do not not only know baroque music, but you cannot listen also... If you could listen then you would realise that the inner parts (and not voices as you say), are connected when is need. You also do not listen the phrasing that exists. I am curious.... Are you a musician? What are you that you speak in public like that?

  • @mjmorgue : I do believe that the ciacona is a dance. In fact the passacaglia is of the nature of a chook-walk !

  • Amazing........................

  • So beautiful! A highly poetic chaconne revealing its true dimensions in this interpretation. Thanks Chris!

  • What a glorius sound that produces!

    Better than most American churches.

Wonderful tempo. I have played this too fast!

    Thanks for the lesson.

  • sounds very choppy and broken......baroque music isn't so choppy..it's also very sensitive. Maybe a little more care to smooth phrasing would be in order. It's broken and needs some glue to connect those wonderful inner voices where the interest lies.

  • And again I found another great composer that I was not aware of before.

  • Βαλεε κι αλλο Buxtexude!!!!!!!!!!! μας αρεσειιι
