re-Rifles I bought an old Moss berg at a gun show for $250 with a small scope and sling. It can still hold a 1 1/2 inch grouping at 100 yards using the Hornady evolution rounds. It is the old design where the trigger comes down with the lever when you cock it. But she still has it where it counts.

Lately I've seen them for around $400-$450. They are starting to get expensive, but I think the rifle is worth it. If you take care of it, it will literally last you decades.

Thanks, I just bought a used winchester 30 30- 94 for $250 in great condition, havent fired it yet though.I noticed those bullets arent cheap at the range, any websites u could lead me to that sell cheaper ammo in wholesale or something?

I have never bought bulk ammo or from a website. I carry my 30-30 for personal protection so I use the Remington Accelerator or the Hornady LEVERevolution. The Remington goes for about $30 a box and the Hornady for about $20. For plinking I use Federal ammo. It's about $13 a box, cheapest I've seen.

Cool thanks, now where can I find the federal ammo, have not seen any boxes at that price at Gander or anywhere else?

Nowadays you probably won't find it cheap. I haven't priced it lately either.
