  • BRM fans take note, The home of BRM, Bourne, Lincolnshire will be hosting a celebration of 50 years since the championship on Sunday 7th October 2012, there will be a remake of a 1962 grid and lots of other attractions, interested ? brmday.co,uk and find us on facebook under BRM celebration day

  • Glady91, if this were a good suspension system, Porsche would have continued to use it when it developed the 911. I agree with you, though, that the engine was a dog and was the reason the cars finished few races; it just sounded fantastic. BRM used the trailing arm suspension as part of war reparations. Auto Union? Wasn't that a Porsche creation? I've seen a photo of a young Ferry Porsche in the AU pits. Actually, this was Super Beetle suspension with fully independent rear.

  • @jockellis it was bad beacause of the engine reliability, not the suspension.

becauce the lack of space in the front they had to use that type of suspension, they wheren't the only team, auto union used it too, but it was more complex that the engines themselves and did the job quite good.

  • Anyone notice the suspension? It was VW Beetle trailing arms front and rear. No wonder it was a bad car.

  • they need to make the cars sound like this nowadays! us reasonably aged people missed out :s

  • This is what Formula 1 SHOULD SOUND LIKE. Ecclestone, take note.

  • Sounds from Hell

  • I checked on the exhausts. It seems all type p-15 had two 8 into 1 exhausts going down either side of it, while the type p-30 had 16 individual shorter exhausts. What we are hearing and seeing here is the p-30 with the very short exhausts.

  • I want my 2000 cc to sound like this :)

  • I heard one of these running years ago at a car show demo, it's freaking ear piercing, and I thought the Honda RC166 was bad with ear piercing.
