In spite of volatile grey skies, she is someone who truly burns to live and inspires these flames in everyone she meets. Amy is a Christian who throws all that she is into being real in a bar-code plastic world. I wanted her to be the antithesis of the "Concrete Girl" off our last album:

@SwitchfootSongs I actually thought "Amy" was a made-up nickname for Jon's wife "Emily". So thanks for this quote. It opened my mind. I'm not a Christian, I'm Jewish, but I think Jon's Amy should be an idol for everyone - not just only for Christians. For everyone who believes in God and fights for peace (and loves Switchfoot ;D ).
