In 2003, Chevy Trucks Kawasaki's James Stewart, the 125cc West Supercross champion from that year had come back from a horrific accident at the Vegas Shootout just over a week before the first 125cc Outdoor National at Glen Helen. Stewart suffered a broken collar bone and a concussion in the accident, causing him to sit out the first 4 rounds of the 125cc National season due to those injuries. Stewart came back to win the first moto at Budds Creek... but the 2nd moto brought out the pure speed in him. Take a look and see why. Stay tuned for part 2.

  • Thanks for uploading this, I've been looking for it for so long!

  • @okli You're very welcome :) I sure hope you will see the other parts and some of the other '03 motos I've posted of Stewart on the 125cc bike.

  • Great post,it's history, good stuff. Is there a video of Stewart on a 2 stroke at Budds creek and everybody else 4 stroke? I just read about it. Also to ask a question for anyone that wants to answer. I was very comfortable on the 125 like 8 years ago but havent rode since. I'm looking to ride this season. I know its personal preference but it looks like the thumpers are faster. Opinions?

  • @gullysquid Thanks... and there IS a video of Stewart on the 125cc 2-stroke while everyone else was on 4-strokes... that was back in 2004. And on your thing on thumpers being faster... yes, they are faster, but I don't think anyone would've guessed that 4-strokes would completely dominate the classes so soon; I honestly didn't think it'd happen until at least '07 or '08. Hope you see the other parts.

  • this is when i started ona 125 nd never thought 250fs would be the future of mx racing. good times! You are my hero for these videos
