Guiding Light September 7th 2006-The 15,000th Episode

Reva is feeling down about the world. Billy suggests maybe she needs a new perspective. Reva passes out and, when she comes to, finds herself in a Bizarro Springfield, where Cooper Industries is the big cheese in town, Spauldings sling hash, Marina is a spoiled brat, Rick's a bum, Lizzie a nurse, Dinah a tree-hugger, Mallet a law shark, Harley a corporate raider, Jonathan a dedicated MD, Tammy a biker chick, Cassie a wild child, Josh an angry drunk (who once married every member of Reva's family) and Reva is known for her prim and proper ways. And yet, the more things change...even in Bizarro Springfield, Jonathan still secretly wants Tammy, Dinah and Mallet can't stay away from each other, and Billy is Reva's savior. He tells her the secret of getting back to her reality is to keep Buzz from knocking down the lighthouse. And for that, she needs Josh's help. Josh tells Reva he's going out of town to find himself, but Reva insists they have to face reality -- any reality. She gets through to him and Josh doesn't sell the lighthouse to the evil Buzz. He tells Reva he knows she's still crazy about him. He leans in to kiss her when...Reva is snapped back to her own universe. She opens her eyes and comes face-to-face with Josh.

Looking back on this stuff, it is impossible for me to understand how GL was ever run into the ground and cancelled. This is brilliant! Remy and Tammy are fucking hilarious! Actually, I would have preferred both of them to be a little more like this in the actual "real universe."

Actually I kind of like Jonathan as a doctor. Even in the alternative universe Lizzie gets the short end of the stick. Nice touch that alternative Tammy drops the half-cousin. I wish Remy -Tammy at least had a shot in alternative universe. Rick & Josh are both pretty dang funny as drunks. I love him having married Miss Sarah & Roxie. I can see Roxie doing that, but Miss Sarah had too much class. Great reference to Reva's nose pressed against window chip on shoulder.
