  • This is remarkable if you admire canoeing; gracious paddling finest instead of struggling.

  • thats Ted Behne's canoe at the start built by Steve

  • I thought she was familiar. She is Becky Mason, daughter of the mighty Bill Mason-he who walks on water.

  • @hobo59 it is a skill used to stalk moose in the shallow water without making a sound. It is a skill that allow the canoe to turn on a dine to follow up the movement of a moose (for meat). Please read The Man of the Last Frontier or watch Ray Mears canoe journey.

  • Pretty canoe.

  • Damn, i hope Becky knows how dangerous it is! She is so fu*king freestyling, hardcore shit! You got my respect bro!

  • Hey Becky I hope you see this comment you look great that is a beautiful video I see the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree ! I miss the gatineau's .Take care RH from beside Burnet Rd.

  • Absolutely inspiring. Thanks for this. Something to aim for with new NC 16' PAL

  • Canoeing like this is just so elegant.

While I am an avid sea kayaker the Canadian canoe instilled my fondness for the water.

While my sea kayak can do marvelous things the elegance and grace that can be shown in a canoe remains unparalleled.

My wife (A petite 5' 0") uses technique to make a canoe turn and spin where I simply claw it around.

  • She didn't do much other than go in circles and let water in over the gunwales. You can clearly see the wet inside the canoe at the end of the video. I'm sure she's a nice person and all, but I do think staying clear of the water and doing more than circles would have demonstrated her "Talent" more clearly.
