Actual lyrics are "lass" (not "loss") and "lad" (not "light"). Glen Hansard, the artist who wrote this song, is Irish. Though it adds a touch more creepiness to the song, that the terms "lass" and "lad" definitely makes you think of children...

Also, after the first line that goes "We are calling to you", all the other similar ones are "We are coming for you".
