Fortunately this is not a police state. When that occurs the police pepper spray and use the batons against anyone. The white haired sergeant poked a protestor with his baton and that was unnecessary because he wasnt being attacked. I never heard any officer declare "unlawful assembly, you must disperse". The businesses complained, the mayor called the chief and the cops went down to arrest peaceful protestors.

This is not how protesting works. These people are assembling to give the power of governance back to individuals and out of the hands of corporations. These people are making a stand against fascism. This is not about ego to these people, at least most of them. Many of them are jobless and have had houses taken from them by such fascist policies as Eminent Domain. This country needs change, it has become controlled by an obscenely rich elite. The elite must go.
