Here's a short video showing what primary fermentation looks like of a Belgian Dubbel. When this video was shot it was only about 18 hours after we pitched the yeast. It's rockin and rollin.

  • I brewed this Dubbel two weeks ago and that Krausen was crazy big. There was still a two inch thick krausen 5 days later. I just racked to a secondary fermentor that I purged with CO2 first to reduce the O2. This is my first one of these and the SG was 82. I my target FG is 16 and it is at 20 today. It sure taste sweet right now. Hope some of that sweetness goes away. This recipe has 1 lb Chinese candy! My last batch was Saison and turned out great ! Next up is an Imperial Black Porter. tomorrow

  • Looking like some excellent beer~!

  • Nice stuff. I am currently watching a Christmas brew do the same thing, I was thinking about putting a video on YouTube on how to make a yeast starter and then including video of the fermentation. The video's never do it justice though. It's fun to just and watch that crazy activity.
