  • Anybody familiar with Christy Moore's ballad "Lisdoonvarna"..remembers the line

    "Miko Russell, Doctor Bill,

    Willy Clancy and Noel Hill."

Doctor Bill Loughnane standing on the extreme left was the fiddle player with the the Tulla..great character.

  • does anybody know who's the fiddler ?

    sounds lovely

  • See the caption at the start of the clip.

  • I like how they focused mainly on beats and rhythm back then, not how high in the air you are getting or how extremely crossed your legs are.

  • God, this is the REAL irish dance!

  • not bad but he needs faster music and faster feet

  • @Djabenusiri ya know good point. Im not at all a dancer myself but your point is clear in this demonstration. its like a bodhran present... and a good one at that. :D

  • @magprob shut the fuck up

  • So it appears to me, that Irish immigrants moved to the Appalachian Mountains, drank too much Moon Shine, and then suddenly started dancing like Ernest T. Bass. Could this be the case? Just mix up Irish, Buck, Clogging, and Step Dancing in general, and have a HoeDown ThrowDown!

  • Sh*t....that board is about to collapse.

  • Magistrale!!

  • @Djabenusiri I think we still completely focus on beats. They just focus also on everything else, like height, movement and crossing.

  • I remember when I first saw this in HD. Lol

  • Wow, it looks like the stage can every moment collapse...

What fiddle is this? It sounds so familiar to me. Can anyone tell me? The title and from who's the original song, or who else plays this fiddle too?

I love this music and this dance. GO IRISH!!!!!
