We make it to Dallas and meet up with Ann, an Akha woman from Chiang Rai married to an American. Course what do they do besides talk and eat! Ha! Yes, and it was a great chance to get together with one of the few Akha in America. Thanks to America's hateful immigration policy against the Akha, there aren't many here.

  • It's called Morning Glory, mate. Haven't seen it in a somtum, might be thinking of long beans? =)

A couple of my students are from an Akha village. I remembered one time an Akha lady missed her bus at an army checkpoint, and one of the Sergeants got her onto the next bus which I was on, paid for the fare, and asked one of the people on the bus who was getting off at the same stop to help her get to the person she wanted to reach.

It's my last term teaching in Mae Sai. =)

  • lol she's like wow wierd why taping me haha
