in training, less is always more. It's always far better to not fully work out your muscles, than to overtrain. Anything that risks overtraining is not worth it. So when in doubt, hold back, do less.

I usually do over 30 sets and was thinking about GVT ....am I doing to much volume?

Me,on peck and tricep days....i don't count sets,i do reps....well after warm up which is usually ten reps off pull ups and other stuff i start off with a hundred reps of dumbell bench press with increased weight every 20 reps,then inclined barbell benchpress of about eighty reps,hundred reps of cable crossovers upper and lower fifty each,followed by fifty reps of tricep pushdowns then finally finish the whole day off with fifty to a hundred p90x

fads come and go. i say do no more than 5 sets, go heavy, u will gain strength and size even if u don't eat like an animal, and your joints will thank u.
