Munich Massacre Part 1

At the early dawn of September 5th, 37 years ago, today, during the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, the serenity and peace of olympiad was shattered, when 8 palestinian terrorists from the organization "Black September", raided the appartments of 11 israeli athletes, killing two of them during the raid. The following day of negotiations, their demands were to have 200 revolutionary prisoners around the world released, or all the hostages would be killed. The German police attempted to execute an assault into the appartments, but it was called off for being too risky.
The following evening, two military helicopters took the terrorists and hostages to a military air strip miles away, where they would leave the Germany with a plane. But the police had planned another rescue attempt. Sadly, at the airport, the situation turned into chaos and finally, the failed attempt ended with all nine remaining hostages being killed, as well as five of the eight terrorists and one police officer. The three remaining were captured and prisoned.
