Jesse Oris Farrow is the pen name of Dino Valenti of the Quicksilver Messenger Service (one of the original bands of the San Francisco sound of the mid-late 60s, along with Jefferson Airplane, The Greatful Dead, Moby Grape, Country Joe and the Fish). Dino also wrote "Get Together" as recorded by the Youngbloods.

I was walking downtown the City last night with a lady friend and she said: "Nowadays i am afraid of the weather". Yes...... this part of globe had no Spring. In June we had to turn the heater on; since July began we all lay comatose with heat, pollution and lack of Oxygen. Where did the Four Seasons go? Is it me or....

Is Nature really disturbed???

We/they could have done something to prevent this, long ago.....

I'm actually thinking of compiling all the songs from that era that voice the first Environmental Objections to the way the world was lead in Pop Culture, as part of a project i have. World has functioned with prejudice, and that has been used against the People who spoke out, in the hippy days. All to easy to write them off as 'drug addicts' and dismiss what they said.
