  • how tight do you have your springs?

  • @KHfan4ever23 medium tension, maybe 60% tight

  • i thought you didn't play with shoes.

  • @malfcn They are DB drum shoes. They're great, real thin. Been using them since 2006.

  • @sebastianjarno Metal drummers tend to use triggers because at high tempos the double kicks tend to get muddy + you have to have them pretty tight to get the rebound required for extreme speed which can make them sound wimpy at slower tempos!! Plus; have you ever tried to get two bass drums tuned the same!!

  • damn i like the way the bass drums sound in this vid.

  • Thank you for the video, I admire your work as a drummer, I'm your fan here in Brazil!

  • andols! :D

  • Kevin Talley wasn't a machine like Andols, more of an animal. You can take that as a pro or con. But he was quite sloppy live with them, often losing proper tempo. And we learned from the band's own words (around the time of the self-titled album) that it took a bit to get Kevin off of just constant, straight double-bass and blast beats (he IS a death metal drummer, after all) and to get him to play more creative stuff. I'm convinced most the creative drumming on s/t came from RA's direction.

  • @85Aheadstix true, Kevin Talley is a Machine.
