Check out the coolest place on board Norwegian Cruise Line's newest and most innovative ship Norwegian Epic. The SVEDKA Ice Bar is the cruise industry's first true ice bar and is set in changing hues of blue, green and purple LED lighting that simulates the Northern Lights and creates a distinctive arctic atmosphere. The SVEDKA Ice Bar features a bar, walls, tables, stools, glasses and life-size sculptures all made from ice. Guests are given hooded coats and gloves to keep them warm, since the room's temperature does not rise above 17 degrees Fahrenheit.

The SVEDKA Ice Bar accommodates 25 people and can be reserved from 5:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. nightly. The cost is $20 per person and includes two signature cocktails.

  • @cassandrabadie lol, it was very clean and NOT sweaty! It's freezing in there.. you are wearing it over your clothes. Big deal. I have more concern about swimming in a pool or sitting in a hot tub or even wearing rental bowling shoes than sharing a parka. Think about it.

  • @starspace01 dont forget youpay for the drinks too plus tip

  • @tecknicole yeah but you are wearing a sweaty coat that other drunk people have worn, is it wash????? how often, nasty

  • @CruiseSource see i am sensing a problem most of this stuff is put on by people who sell cruises for a living hmm

  • @starspace01 i know this was a dumb ideal by ncl , plus everyone knows who goes on ship nearly dead over fed and newly wed. ( im 1 and 2 ) and fat old people do not like the cold or wearing someone else's sweater coat, just stupid, think ncl think maybe something to do on a cruise other then get drunk and eat, might be fun

  • Come on.. Vodka anywhere is fun! Plus you get to look so stylish in the garb they give you to wear! ;)

  • I live in the North, why the hell would I want to pa y 25 bucks to do shots of vodka in the cold. I can do that 24/7 from mid December until March in the front of any bar in town, or in my own backyard with an entire bottle of vodka! Don't know how many northeners will want to pony up for this on a winter Caribbean cruise - we are looking to get out of the cold!!

  • This looks like a lot of fun. Chances are that cruisers will have better luck trying out an ice bar on NCL Epic than in Sweden during a popular port of call.

  • Can't believe that is at sea... Freakn Amazing... May be a little too cold for my blood, but I will definitely give it 'shot' on 7.8.10.
